How many times has it happened to you that you added someone on facebook or you received a friend request from someone you knew and it ended up being a fake profile of the person?

We are pretty sure that it would have happened at least once and if you believe it hasn’t then who knows, you might be unaware that it’s a fake profile and hence the person still exists in your friend list! 

Today, we have an infographic which will help you understand how to spot a fake facebook profile. The infographic differentiates between the real profiles and the fake profiles by the help of various stats that have been collected. These stats are what you enter, the basic information that you enter in your facebook profile.

The only thing that we didn’t like was that when we analyzed our own profile, we pretty much ended up on the fake facebook profile side of the picture rather than the real side. So this isn’t always true but this isn’t always wrong either! 

One general observation of ours when we encountered fake profiles, which was pretty much common in all the fake facebook profiles we have come across is the ‘raunchy’ profile pictures with no ‘about me’ description. This too, has been pretty much displayed in the infographic if you observe carefully the border of the infographic! Hence, spotting a fake profiles isn’t the most difficult task but finding out if a profile is fake, there aren’t any set of rules that will help you find out!
